By accessing or using Mainferret (the "Service"), operated by STEPS Ventures ("we," "us"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. The Service

Mainferret provides research and intelligence tools for small-business acquisition, including data sourced from public records. The Service is provided for informational purposes to help you research opportunities.

3. Not professional advice

Mainferret is not financial, legal, tax, or investment advice. Our scores, estimates, and analyses are informational only. You are solely responsible for your decisions and should consult qualified professionals (CPA, attorney, licensed lender) before acquiring any business.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service lawfully and in compliance with all applicable regulations, including those governing outreach and communications (e.g., TCPA, CAN-SPAM). You will not resell, scrape, or redistribute our data except as expressly permitted by your plan. You will not use the Service to harass any person or business.

5. Accounts & billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis and renew automatically until canceled. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing with notice.

6. Data & accuracy

Data is drawn from public and third-party sources and may contain errors or be out of date. We make no warranty as to accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Verify independently before acting.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, scores, and compilations, is our property and protected by law. Public-record data underlying the Service remains public record.

8. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the prior twelve months.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms. You may cancel at any time.
